Aurora

Aurora Aksnes (born June 15, 1996, at Stavanger) is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves is an album released in May 2015 from Decca Records. It has received high praise from the media and bloggers. She's recorded a variety of well-known covers, such as Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole), which are widely loved. Katy Perry shared a tweet in which Perry made a splash with her track Runaway. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memories involve finding a tiny piano hidden in the basement, and becoming enthralled by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes advised her to use music for development of her own, not to earn money or for to pursue an interest. This led to her started writing the music she composed herself. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork as her main influences. In response to her mother's suggestions that she ought not to aim to be famous through the songs she writes, but rather realize the importance of themselves as well as their contribution to society. She started playing piano when she was six years old and started writing music at age nine. The family did not know about this until she was 14. Aurora wasn't a dream. According to her, she loves writing music. She says that music is her favorite way of feeling anything.
