Morgan starred alongside other actors in the documentary film Safe Sex for Men and Women focused on AIDS prevention and awareness. Morgan gave a percentage of her earnings towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She also serves on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan has spearheaded numerous other fund-raising projects for the disease and she also testified in front of a specific Congressional panel on AIDS education. She also serves as a Board of Directors for Amfar and on the Board of Governors of APLA. The former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop has been asked to be his substitute at AIDS occasions and has presented an AIDS Awareness Special featuring anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice for Nightline about AIDS. Morgan was nominated to win an Emmy for her performance in the Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her.
